Pr Farida Benhadou
Pr Farida Benhadou is a dermatologist in Brussels and a graduate of Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB).
Professor Benhadou specialises in inflammatory skin diseases, in particular Verneuil’s disease (hidradenitis suppurativa) and psoriasis. She also deals with scalp conditions and the treatment of complex wounds. She cares for patients with specific systemic conditions which may affect the skin and other organs, including lupus, scleroderma, vasculitis, sarcoidosis and auto-inflammatory conditions.
Pr Farida Benhadou also offers PRP (platelet rich plasma) treatment for hair loss (baldness) at the Brussels Skin Center in the European Quarter.
Passionate about research, she carried out the work for her thesis on psoriasis at the laboratory of Professor Cédric Blanpain.
She is a member of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) and of the European Hidradenitis Suppurativa Foundation (EHSF) and collaborates actively with associations supporting patients with psoriasis and Verneuil’s disease.
Professor Benhadou is available for general dermatological consultations in French, English and Dutch at the Brussels Skin Center in the European Quarter. She also has also been working at the Erasmus Hospital since 2009.
